Toshiba Issues "Cheat Sheet" for Video Surveillance Projects

Guide Educates Installers on Recommended Toshiba IP & Analog Products

IRVINE, CA, May 08, 2013 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., has issued a handy "cheat sheet" to educate installers and dealers of video surveillance systems on recommended configurations of Toshiba cameras, recorders and accessories for a variety of video monitoring applications, ensuring faster, more reliable and more profitable systems for Toshiba customers.

Available at www.toshibasecurity.com, the guide examines the unique needs of small (8 cameras or less), medium (9-16 cameras), and large (16+ cameras) installations. Customers are given a detailed solution to each from both the IP and analog perspective, taking into account whether cameras will be deployed indoors or outdoors. Cameras mounted on the exterior of a building require specialized housings, such as those found on Toshiba IK-WR04A domes, to protect their sensitive electronics from weather extremes.

An excellent training tool, the new guide demonstrates the rich capabilities of Toshiba analog and IP video products, ranging from low-cost digital recorders ideal for hybrid systems to enterprise-class servers featuring up to 64 channels of inputs.
