DALLAS, TX, September 27, 2004 (ASIS SHOW) -- Toshiba Security & Network Video Products has introduced the IK-65WDA, its new flagship camera for severe lighting environments. This feature-rich, 1/3-inch CCD color camera boasts an incredible 133X Dynamic Range to enable it to reproduce both very dark and very light images within the same frame in lighting situations where standard cameras only produce dark or washed-out images.
The advanced dynamic range coupled with its low-light sensitivity of 0.001 Lux@F1.2 allows the IK-65WDA to deliver excellent performance across a wide array of challenging lighting applications, from shopping centers and casinos to schools and government facilities. The camera’s Super Day/Night Mode with Dynamic Shutter Control allows it to reproduce subject images in dark areas that even the human eye cannot perceive, making it perfect for 24-hour surveillance in such areas as tunnels, tollbooths and parking lots.
Harnessing the power of its leadership in digital technology, Toshiba designed the IK-65WDA for today’s cutting-edge digital video recorders (DVRs) that require the cleanest, most noise-free images for optimum recording and network performance. By offering a class-leading 53dB signal-to-noise ratio, the IK-65WDA is the right fit when playback image quality is not a negotiable factor.
Since introducing its first security cameras more than two decades ago, Toshiba has consistently provided features not found in similarly priced competitive cameras. The new IK-65WDA continues that trend and goes further with features like “mistake-proof” menu driven programming, 520 TVL resolution; sharpness control; camera ID, 12VDC/24VAC; automatic shutter speeds of 1/60 to 1/10,000 sec; manual shutter settings ranging from 64X to 1/10,000 sec; and a user-selectable auto or manual white balance. Lens mount is CS and supports DC-type auto-iris lenses.
