Toshiba LCD Color Monitors are a Perfect Match for High-Resolution Color Video Surveillance Cameras & Recorders
Aesthetically-Pleasing, Space-Saving 15", 17" & 19" Flat Panel Monitors Only 3" Deep, Deliver Up To 1280 x 1024 Resolution, Improved I/O Capabilities, Broad Range of Mounting Options
ORLANDO, FL, September 12, 2005 (ASIS)-- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., has announced a major upgrade to its security video portfolio with the introduction of three flat-panel LCD monitors that ideally compliment today's high-resolution color cameras and digital video recorders.

The new monitors are available with viewable 15-inch (P1550LA), 17-inch (P1750LA) or 19-inch (P1950LA) TFT active matrix LCD panels with up to 500:1 contrast ratio and delivering up to 1280x1024 pixels, one of the highest resolutions in the industry for monitors of these sizes. Toshiba customers can expect dramatically brighter, crisper and clearer images with vivid colors and a more stable picture environment free of annoying flicker or static. Fluorescent backlighting maintains its powerful 250-nit brightness over time, preventing the degradation experienced with aging CRT-type monitors.

Only three inches deep, the new LCDs address customer concerns about desk space by taking only a fraction of the space of typical CRT monitors, while eliminating additional wiring and resulting in a more productive workplace. For those applications that require a large screen in a space-limited area, the 19-inch monitor is the perfect solution, offering a wide viewing area (160/160 degrees), 15-degree up/down tilt, and VESA standard wall-mount.

In addition, Toshiba's new LCDs receive high marks for their exceptional input/output capabilities. These include two (BNC) analog video inputs with looping outputs, an analog input (S-Video) to accommodate PC's and other digital video devices, two RCA audio inputs with looping outputs, and a VGA (D-SUB15) input.

Toshiba is complimenting the introduction of the new LCDs with one of the industry's broadest selection of mounting options that meets virtually every wall, cantilever, ceiling, surface or rack mounting application.
