| IRVINE, CA, July 20, 2009 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Network Video, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., has combined fault tolerant reliability with multi-format support for up to 32 IP network cameras in its new NVS Series network video recorders.
Capable of recording at speeds of up to 30 pictures-per-second with audio, all thirteen NVS models provide a single-box network solution for IP video surveillance applications demanding ultra-high resolution megapixel recording, mass storage capacity up to 4TB, and high performance real-time monitoring accommodating cameras from Toshiba, Sony, Panasonic, AXIS and other reputed manufacturers that can be recorded locally or globally via the Internet. Dozens of Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control protocols are supported to assure compatibility with virtually any IP PTZ camera.
Reliability is built into every NVS recorder. All models offer a field upgradeable, removable HDD array . Available internal RAID 5 achieves data redundancy, while multiple levels of security access prevents unauthorized use. Video signal loss detection alerts administrators if a camera is no longer functioning. Searches are conducted on motion, sensor events, thumbnail previews and graphical timelines. Once located, video can easily be exported as AVI video, JPEG image or as individual frames printed for further review at a later time. Search, playback and backup are all performed simultaneously. Video can be output to an on-site NTSC/PAL display.
Toshiba NVS recorders feature an embedded Windows®-XP operating system. Each ships with an industry-proven suite of software solutions including multi-site management, backup viewer to play exported video in proprietary format, emergency management, remote software, and MDVR (Windows® Mobile 6+). Advanced POS and ATM software is supported for retail and banking applications.
