Toshiba Strengthens IT Channel Sales Strategy With Appointment of Greg Hartzell as Channel Manager
IRVINE, CA, May 19, 2008 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products, a business unit of Toshiba America Information, Systems, Inc., announced today the appointment of Greg Hartzell as IT Channel Sales Manager with responsibility for managing strategic partnerships and developing new relationships with major IT distributors, VARs and systems integrators throughout the United States and Latin America .

Mr. Hartzell has more than ten years of multi-tier experience in the IT channel at the manufacturer, distributor and reseller levels. Prior to joining Toshiba, he served as Distribution Sales Manager for SolarWinds where he was responsible for major account management and new business development. Previously, he held sales and management positions with FrontRange Solutions, Sage Software, MicroAge and Inacom.

"Greg brings with him years of technical sales experience and detailed knowledge of the IT channel environment," noted Sergio Collazo, National Sales & Marketing Manager, Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products. In recent years, the security industry as migrated away from analog CCTV technology and embraced networked Internet Protocol (IP) video systems. This market dynamic has added emphasis on the IT sales channel that has long been a stronghold for Toshiba. Toshiba is now aggressively targeting the IT channel to expand sales of its IP cameras, LCD monitors and Surveillix® recording solutions.
