Toshiba Mini Dome Camera Delivers 24-7 High Resolution Surveillance Video for Indoor Locations

LAS VEGAS , NV, March 28, 2007 (ISC West Booth #7127) -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group offers its new IK-DF02A, a high-resolution, day-night analog mini dome camera designed to help security professionals achieve round-the-clock video surveillance of retail outlets, malls, grocery stores and other indoor locations.

The latest addition to Toshiba's broad line of superior security solutions, the IK-DF02A features a 1/3-inch SuperHADT CCD (768 x 494) with 10-bit DSP, 3 axis adjustable capability (350° pan, 146° tilt), and a tamper-resistant lockable cover. The camera's 520 TV lines of horizontal resolution is one of the highest specifications in its price class. Simple to install in its fully integrated, compact enclosure, the IK-DF02A mounts directly or in standard electrical junction boxes with just two simple connections.

While its styling is unobtrusive, the presence of the IK-DF02A deters retail theft, vandalism and other crimes, explains Sergio Collazo, Director of Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group: "Inventory shrinkage cost U.S. retailers $30 billion annually or nearly two percent of total sales. Our IK-DF02A cost-effectively helps to lower overall inventory shrinkage to improve retail margins and allow employees to spend more time assisting customers instead of patrolling the aisles."

The IK-DF02A i s equipped with built-in Day/Night switching from color to monochrome image capture upon sensing low light. To further enhance its nighttime viewing capabilities, the camera features minimum illumination of 0.5 lux with a tinted dome, along with auto white balance, backlight compensation, and a high signal-to-noise ratio of 50dB for sharp, detailed images of targeted subjects.

The IK-DF02A mini dome ships fully assembled and ready to install. It is backed by a three year limited warranty.
