Toshiba Surveillix® XVR 4/16 Channel Digital Video Recorder Is Affordable, Easy-to-Use Solution For Small- and Mid-Sized Security Operations

LAS VEGAS , NV, March 28, 2007 (ISC West Booth #7127) -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group today introduced the Surveillix® XVR Series of digital video recorders employing a full suite of advanced storage, recording and search capabilities, yet priced to offer measurable cost savings to small- and mid-sized video surveillance operations.

A turnkey hardware and software solution, the Surveilllix XVR is available in 4- and 16-channel configurations with internal storage of up to 1TB utilizing Toshiba's proprietary space-saving MJPEG compression. Recorders have maximum speeds of 120 pictures-per-second (PPS), plus feature 2-way audio along with a built-in RS-422 adapter supporting over 75 PTZ control protocols. Analog recording resolutions run as high as 720x480 with audio recording possible on all sixteen channels.

The Surveillix XVR is ideal for commission as a stand-alone video management system in retail, corporate, educational, gaming and other security-sensitive applications, helping users migrate from old-line time-lapse VCRs to digital recording while maintaining their original investment in analog cameras.

Additional features contributing to the success of the XVR include the ability to export video in numerous formats with its DVD multi-burner; complete remote access and control over the Internet or 10/100BASE T LAN; optional looping output for each connected camera; and include Multi-site SCS software that enables operation of 100+ DVRs.
